Follow this guide to take the first step towards your paperless future.

  1. User Roles – Users can be assigned one, or any number, of roles which give permission for access and wrap signoff. E.g.
    • Competence Roles – Your site will be pre-configured with these competence roles C-Mech, C-Elec, C-Weld and C-QA. You may add as many competence roles as you wish to reflect your working practises.
    • Hierarchical RolesYour site will be pre-configured with these hierarchy roles H-Staff, H-Supervisor, H-Manager and H-Executive. You may add as many hierarchy roles as required.
    • Team RolesYour site will be pre-configured with these team roles T-Project, T-Production and T-Client. You may add as many team roles as required.
    • Administration RolesYour site will be pre-configured with these administrator roles Administrator (ExcelWraps Administrators), AdminTenant (client administrators) and AdminWorkgroup (administrators controlling a group of users).
  2. Users - Add new users for your wrapsite. Alternatively send us a spreadsheet containing user's names, email addresses and their roles. We can create users without an email address if required.
  3. Workgroups – Users can be placed into workgroups and you can devolve responsibility for user management. Workgroups will not be pre-configured on your site but may be added, if required, at a later date.
  4. Graphics - Your site will be pre-configured with a custom site logo but you may wish to add your own at a later date.
  5. Wrap Groups - Wrap Groups define access controls and permissions to wraps, wrap instances and MyWraps reports. Your Wrapsite comes pre-configured with a Wrap Group called 'Default' but new wrap groups can be added at a later date.
  6. XLW - Download and install XLW. Open Excel and you should see the XLW tab, it contains all the buttons to make a wrap. Use the 'XLW Package' button to work with your own subdomain by downloading XLWPackage.zip (it contains information about Site Roles, Site Users, Wrap Definitions and Wrap Groups). XLW reads this information so that it understands how your site is configured. Once installed you are ready to start wrapping.
  7. Wrapsite Password Settings - The table below show the default settings for a new site. Enabling more password options results in a more secure site but may irritate site users.
Minimum character length of password
Password format
